Family of Families
We treat you like you are home. The Scripture tells us that we are part of one family, the family of God. And no one here is perfect. In fact, we embrace that. We embrace new families every week as we BELIEVE, BELONG and BECOME together.
Casual Atmosphere
We want you! You are God’s masterpiece and you are loved. So come as you are. No need to put on the tie, jacket, and slacks. We have coffee available for the whole family. Engage with our other families as we walk through life together.
Relevant Worship
We are in this together. And as a family, we talk about real life situations and conversations happening around our world. We engage in that head on with Scripture and worship. Our worship ranges from a wide variety of selections and spiritual disciplines. No Sunday is the same here at Linwood.
Safe
Our family means the world to us! And our kids are a part of that equation. We believe in creating an environment that enriches our kids with the Gospel while also providing a blanket of security. When you arrive, you will find a check-in system right away to check your child in. Your child will discover warm loving adults who desire to see our children grow. All of our kids ministry volunteers must pass background checks and have a heart for kids and families. From babies to fifth grade, we know that your child is going to be safe here.
Mother's Room
We have a Mother's Room available just outside the east sanctuary door in the KidsWay hallway where you will still be able to watch and listen to the message.
What to Expect From Our Services
- Expect practical teaching reflecting our real world. We don’t shy away from God’s truth.
- Expect music that reflects both contemporary and traditional, but blended tastefully. We designed service flow to maximize engagement with the Holy Spirit.
- Expect families to be themselves. No one is perfect. Come as you are and be ready to be embraced as one of our own – no strings attached.
- Expect the unexpected. We serve a God of the impossible. As we grow, serve, and follow Him, we know we will be transformed daily.
Service Times
- We offer in-person worship Sunday morning at 9:00 & 10:30am. We provide special seating for families and fragrance-free areas.
- KidsWay Children’s Ministry is available for nursery through 5th grade during 10:30am service.

History of Linwood
Darrell and Ruby Wagner founded Linwood in 1963, which started as a small meeting in their home. Linwood has grown to be a dynamic and steady presence in the Sioux Falls community ever since. The congregation moved into its current location in 1989, adding a gym and south addition in 2005.
Our history includes planting churches locally and working with local ministries to affect the city of Sioux Falls. Many community organizations and ministries use the gym. To us, it is all about adding value to the community and building a spiritual legacy that guides future generations.
